Funding for AI offerings

New AI qualification offers thanks to funding

The Foundation for Innovation in University Teaching (StIL) and the Network of State Institutions for Digital University Teaching (NeL) are continuing their successful cooperation to promote AI-related qualification and support services for university teaching.

Comprehensive events, training courses, consultations, workshops, workshops, self-learning opportunities and community building will be offered again this fall. From October to the end of December 2024, the AI support services that have been set up or are currently being designed in the state institutions will be further developed and, above all, expanded across state borders in order to be able to jointly address different target groups in the universities with AI-related support services nationwide.

Thanks to our cooperation in Network of state institutions we have a promotion of the Foundation for Innovation in University Teaching can acquire. As part of this funding, we are developing a certificate for teachers with which AI skills can be acquired and recognized. Our Courses and workshops on offer will be combined and expanded in modules. We will also dedicate ourselves to train-the-trainer qualifications to support the acquisition of AI skills at universities. Together with the universities, we are continuing to develop our popular prompting station. In future, it will be used even more
The aim is to make AI tools accessible to teachers so that they can be tested and didactic scenarios for their use at Thuringian universities can be developed.

The cooperation between StIL and NeL has already been able to demonstrate in the first funding period that a wide range of synergies have been generated in the provision of AI training courses across the country and, above all, across national borders and their opening up to the interested community. The NeL institutions themselves have also benefited greatly from the joint cooperation by reflecting on innovative ideas and formats, making offers mutually accessible and making organizational processes more efficient in terms of professionalization. Building on this, the new funding round also relies on the close networking in the NeL and the associated nationwide effectiveness and visibility of the measures for AI skills development.

We are open to your ideas for our services and always look forward to working with you. Please feel free to contact us.
