The distribution areas of Central European tree species represent an important but complex part of teaching in the subject area of silviculture. With the help of a multiple choice test, students can familiarise themselves in depth with the tree species and practise their distribution areas.

Detailed description

The multiple choice test on the e-learning platform moodle at Erfurt University of Applied Sciences consists of ten questions. The students have the task of assigning the correct tree species to the distribution maps shown. The possible answers are always randomly rearranged. Students have the opportunity to deepen their knowledge in self-study and can repeat the test an unlimited number of times. The test helps students to realise their level of knowledge and to prepare for a possible examination in a targeted manner.

Self-tests on moodle are a good way for students to keep an eye on their own learning progress and systematically prepare for an exam. The learning platform contains a variety of different question types (e.g. true/false questions or short answer questions). The tests can be set up so that participants receive feedback on every question they answer.
